    Sunpads and bow cushions sit in full sun and collect rain, so what is inside matters as much as the cover. We use quick-dry reticulated foam and a mesh bottom panel so water runs out instead of pooling. Sets are templated on the deck so each piece meets the next without gaps. Fasteners are placed so the pads stay down at speed.

    What is the best foam for boat cushions?

    Quick-dry reticulated foam for sunpads, because it drains and dries after rain and spray. Standard foam holds water, gets heavy and can mildew.

    How to secure boat seat cushions?

    Snaps, twist locks or hook and loop strips hold sunpads in place. On bow cushions we set fasteners so the pads stay put at speed.

    Can I replace snaps on my boat cushions with magnets?

    It can work for light cushions in sheltered spots. On bow pads that catch wind underway, snaps or twist locks hold better, so we use those.
